P.O.V. Summer Cocktails on the Rooftop of the W Hotel

Finding a good view in Washington is getting easier as more rooftop bars open up; but you can’t beat the W Hotel’s P.O.V. Roof Terrace. With the White House next door and the Washington Monument only a couple of blocks away, it may be the best place to relax with friends or bring out-of-town guests.

P.O.V. is serving a new summer cocktail menu, which is stocked with creative takes on warm weather favorites. My first choice is the Luchador Rosa (pictured above) made with silver tequila, lime juice, cilantro, raspberries, and spicy Hellfire bitters. This puts any plain margarita to shame. I’d also recommend the French Reception (below). I’m a sucker for gin and St. Germain and this one is topped with raspberries and Champagne.
